Accessing ERIC during the shutdown

The free web version of ERIC, the Education Resource Information Center, is not available during the government shutdown.  But there is a way to access the records for the ERIC Documents, and a way to access the full text of journal articles within ERIC.

EBSCO is currently offering a free version of ERIC in which users can search for citations for ERIC Documents.  The full text of the Documents themselves are unavailable.  Search the free version here.

To find the full text of journal articles, you must access ERIC through the Library’s A-Z List of Databases.  Under the Es, look for ERIC and make sure you click on the link with EBSCOHost under it.   (Only available to current Dominican students, staff and faculty.)  Once in ERIC, limit your search to only journal articles by scrolling down to the Journal or Document limit and highlighting Journal Articles.
