  1. Hi!

I thought I had heard last year that the ALA was going to re-release the feature-length film, “The Hollywood Librarian” again in April coinciding with National Library Week. Any news? I didn’t have a chance to view it last year due to classes/committments. Is it available on dvd yet?
thanks! any information provided would be much appreciated.

  2. Hi Denise
I checked the Hollywood Librarian web site ( and did not see that it was being shown during National Library Week. I found the film’s distribution plan online ( that says there was a possibility of a national television broadcast during National Library Week. But, the Web site states, “Requests for screening The Hollywood Librarian have now closed. Thank you for your interest.” It also says, “COMING SOON: Watch this space for information on how to pre-order your DVD!” The only contact information I found was an email for the distribution manager: You may try contacting her.
